Situated about 120 miles south-west of Washington DC is a small town in the heart of Virginia called Charlottesville. It’s our third and final stop for this trip and what makes it even better is the fact that we can catch-up with our awesome family that now lives here!

Jackie, Judi and then kids moved over to the US just a few months after Elaine and I moved to the UK. The last time we saw the Van der Westhuizen family was in London in 2015 just before the Springboks played the Welsh in the Rugby World Cup, but today and tomorrow we have the privilege to stay with them at their new house in the States.

It wasn’t long after arriving here that we lit the fire for a good old South African braai (barbeque) and tomorrow we’ll paint the town red!

Coming to you live from Charlottesville Virginia, over and out!
