We have two things to celebrate this weekend, our third wedding anniversary and one year in the UK. To get us into the party mode, we couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate than the little island of Ibiza.

Ibiza is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea, an archipelago of Spain. It’s well known for the lively nightlife in Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni, where major European nightclubs have summer outposts. It’s also home to quiet villages, yoga retreats and beaches, from Platja d’en Bossa, lined with hotels, bars and shops, to quieter sandy coves backed by pine-clad hills found all around the coast.

Last night, after work, we departed from London Gatwick and arrived in Ibiza shortly after midnight. We checked-in at our hotel at 01:00 am, got dressed up, and went out clubbing! Yip, at 01:00 in the morning, after a whole day’s work, we went out clubbing because…we can. You see, Ibiza has a reputation of being the ‘party island of sex, clubs and pubs’, so we decided to go big and join the nightlife on the island, obviously, as a married couple, we were only interested in the ‘clubs and pubs’ part 🙂

This morning we were off to a slow start, but the sun was out and the beach was calling us. The biggest part of our day was spent on the beach and next to the pool, enjoying some local beers and cocktails. At 17:00, we headed up to the rooftop terrace where we watched the sun set over the bay and enjoyed a romantic dinner.

Tomorrow morning we will hit the beach for one last time before heading back to the airport. Honestly speaking, I can see us coming back to Ibiza during peak season.
