Hi all!

I realise that we’ve been here for almost a week now, but the last couple of days were so busy that I completely forgot to give everyone back home an update, so here we go:

Elaine and I left Johannesburg International on Tuesday afternoon at 13:50 flying out with Emirates. We arrived in Dubai just after midnight and it was ridiculously hot, luckily we only had a 2-hour stop over before boarding our flight to London. The flight to London was on an A380, so it was pretty cool!

On Friday morning we headed into the city to get some admin sorted and also did a bit of sightseeing. Our first stop was St Paul’s Cathedral, then the London Eye, House of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. We then headed out to West London to catch-up with Elaine’s family over a beer (or three) before finishing the day at Piccadilly Circus. On Saturday morning we wrapped up our journey at Buckingham Palace, bought some gear to help us through the winter and then headed back home for the rugby.

We’ve been blessed with two Rugby World Cup semi-final tickets at Twickenham to watch the Springboks play the All Blacks. Even though we believe that this may be the end of the road for South Africa’s world cup campaign, we do look forward to the experience.

That’s it for now, have a blessed week!

Much love
